18 CARATS GOLD

Careful research has always been dedicated to sourcing the best materials, the best tools and the best equipment.

We wanted to dedicate the same attention to the alloy we use to create our jewels: 18 carat.

We chose 18-karat gold as it is the alloy with the highest pure gold content that gives the jewel a unique color that enhances its value.

We are scrupulously attentive to the traceability of the materials used in producing our jewels, guaranteeing the origin from productive chains that do not use methods that can in any way be considered harmful to either the environment or to the communities located in the vicinity of the deposits.

TITANIUM

 WHAT DOES “ASTM” MEAN?

With the aim of promoting public health and safety, the American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) is a non-profit organization that works at developing globally recognized tests of more than 12,000 products and materials.

The officially named “F 136” refers to a specific type of titanium that meets ASTM standards for both biocompatibility and chemical composition.

TITANIUM ASTM F136.

This particular titanium alloy is specifically refined and annealed for implantology applications, as designated by the ASTM standards.

Titanium is naturally biocompatible and nickel-free, making it the best material with which to produce body piercing jewelry.

It is essential that only jewelry created with biocompatible materials is used for both fresh and healed piercings.

Anything that contains nickel, cadmium, or lead could lead to complications and irritation over time.

In the Ti 6Al 4V ELI titanium alloy there is aluminum and vanadium, which are both non-toxic elements and are added to improve strength while maintaining the purity of the material.
